Lendlease and Armani/Casa have unveiled Cove at One Circular Quay, Australia’s first private residence created in collaboration with a global design house. Located on level 53 of the Sydney tower, the 537-square-metre whole-floor home brings together luxury residential design and a highly curated interior experience overlooking one of the world’s most recognizable harbours. Developed by Lendlease, the residence signals a new chapter for branded living in Australia.
Positioned within One Circular Quay, Cove combines architecture by Kerry Hill Architects, interiors by Daniel Goldberg, and furniture selection by Armani/Casa. Rather than relying on visual extravagance, the project explores a quieter interpretation of luxury, where craftsmanship, proportion, and material quality shape the residential experience.
A Landmark for Branded Residences in Australia
Branded residences have become one of the fastest-growing sectors in global real estate, attracting buyers seeking a lifestyle connected to internationally recognized design and hospitality brands. Cove introduces this model to Australia through a collaboration that links Sydney with cities such as New York, Miami, London, Dubai, and Beijing.
Occupying an entire floor of the tower, the residence offers a level of exclusivity rarely found in urban developments. The design prioritizes privacy and spatial generosity, allowing residents to enjoy uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour while maintaining a sense of retreat above the city.
An Interior Defined by Material Refinement
The interior palette draws inspiration from Giorgio Armani’s concept of “greige,” a nuanced blend of grey and beige that has become synonymous with the brand’s design language. Layers of sand tones, off-whites, Canaletto Walnut, and Satin Light Brass create an atmosphere that feels calm, elegant, and timeless.
Many of the finishes were produced in Italy by skilled artisans using traditional techniques. Exclusive Armani/Casa treatments such as Brass Carved Liquid Metal and White Gold Drafted Stucco contribute subtle texture and depth throughout the residence. The result is a carefully balanced environment where materiality and craftsmanship take precedence over decoration.
Furniture and Lighting as Design Statements
Armani/Casa organized the residence around four guiding themes: Art, Fashion, Nature, and The Orient. These influences appear through furniture selections, lighting elements, and architectural details that establish a cohesive visual identity across the home.
The principal suite features the Morfeo bed, a softly curved floating design finished in Canaletto Walnut and Majilite Chinchilla upholstery. In the formal living room, a large silk-and-wool rug introduces the iconic cannete stripe, a three-dimensional texture long associated with Giorgio Armani’s fashion collections. Timber lattice screens inspired by Japanese shoji and torii structures add another layer of visual richness.
Lighting also plays a significant role in shaping the atmosphere. At the entrance, the Nema floor lamp welcomes residents with a warm glow, while the study contains the rare Limited Edition Logo lamp, originally designed by Giorgio Armani in 1982 for his Milan boutiques and now considered a collector’s item.
Whole-Floor Living with Iconic Harbour Views
The residence is organized around a private lift lobby that opens directly into the home. Large entertaining areas are oriented toward sweeping views of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and surrounding waterfront, creating a continuous connection between interior spaces and the harbour landscape.
A spacious terrace extends the living areas outdoors, while the primary suite occupies one end of the floor complete with a dressing room and spa-inspired ensuite. Secondary bedrooms and a dedicated study are positioned at the opposite end, ensuring flexibility and privacy for residents and guests alike.
As One Circular Quay approaches completion, Cove demonstrates how architecture, interior design, and lifestyle branding can be combined into a single residential experience. Through the collaboration between Armani/Casa and Lendlease, Sydney gains a distinctive addition to its luxury property market while expanding the global portfolio of Armani/Casa residences.
