Ehler’s Estate: European Elegance in Napa

At Ehler’s Estate, Hawkins Interiors honored the winery’s French heritage while embracing the rustic charm of St. Helena. The 2,000-square-foot tasting room was carefully restored within a mid-1800s stone building, with original beams and concrete floors revitalized to reveal their natural character. Furnishings and finishes introduced a mix of European influences, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Architecture support was provided by Backen & Backen, while Frederika Moller enhanced the grounds through landscape design.

Miller House: A Calistoga Escape

For Frank Family Vineyards, the Miller House reflects a deeply personal story, designed at the very spot where owners Leslie and Rich Frank married. The collaboration between Hawkins Interiors and Backen & Backen delivered a tranquil retreat framed by mountain views. Claudia Schmidt’s landscaping amplified the serenity, while the interiors encouraged guests to relax and linger. The design captures both luxury and intimacy, rooted in the winery’s legacy and location.

Pelio Estate: From Barn to Boutique

In Carmel Valley, Pelio Estate sought to transform a modest barn into an elevated tasting environment. Hawkins Interiors devised a plan to open the barn toward new gardens, expanding the guest experience despite strict building regulations. Working with Backen & Backen and Seven Springs Studio, the project seamlessly blended rustic architecture with curated interiors, offering guests an elegant wine experience while preserving the original structure’s simplicity.

Jasper House: A Traveler’s Study in Freestone

At Black Kite Cellars’ Jasper House, Hawkins Interiors envisioned a space echoing the foggy romance of the coastal region. Organic textures, earthy colors, and rustic materials created a mood both understated and welcoming. Designed with vRA Architects and Ann Baker Landscape Architecture, the interiors resemble the study of a seasoned traveler, complete with curated collections and built-in bookcases. The result is an intimate setting that reflects both place and personality.
