Located on Rue Etienne Marcel, the new Paris flagship of Napapijri marks a significant evolution in the brand’s spatial identity. Designed by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, the project interprets Napapijri’s dual character through architecture, blending urban energy with outdoor spirit in a layered and narrative-driven retail environment. The Paris store becomes not only a place of commerce, but a spatial manifesto that reflects the brand’s cultural direction and contemporary ambitions.
Urban Shell as Architectural Framework
The concept begins with the Urban Shell, an architectural layer that opens directly toward the city and establishes a strong metropolitan presence. Textured concrete panels, galvanized metal surfaces, and rough timber define a robust material palette, softened by natural stone and warm tonal accents. The concrete ceiling and basalt-grey flooring recall the visual language of industrial architecture and urban asphalt, creating a grounded and tactile spatial experience.
Open Archive as Brand Memory
At the heart of the store sits the Open Archive, conceived as a large metal bookcase that functions as an open diary of the brand. Archival objects, historical materials, and iconic garments are displayed together, transforming brand memory into a physical and accessible installation. The use of Pantone Napa Orange introduces a recognizable visual code, reinforcing brand heritage while maintaining a contemporary tone.
The Shelter Room as Experimental Space
The Shelter Room represents the most flexible and experimental layer of the concept. Designed as a transformable environment, it hosts immersive installations, exclusive collections, and creative collaborations. Materials and technology intersect here, allowing the space to evolve over time and encouraging visitor interaction. This room reflects Napapijri’s cultural openness and its interest in experimentation.
From Story Listening to Global Vision
According to Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino, the project emerged from a process of story listening, translating Napapijri’s identity into architectural language. Every element, from materials to lighting, contributes to a cohesive experiential narrative aimed at curious and unconventional audiences. The Paris flagship is the first step in a broader rollout that will redefine the brand’s global retail experience, reinforcing architecture as a strategic storytelling tool.
