LOVE Collection Turns Furniture Into Sculpture

Istanbul-based designer Sami Savatli introduces the LOVE Collection, a compact family of collectible furniture presented by ARKOBJECT. Comprising the LOVE Chair and LOVE Side Table, the 2026 collection treats functional furniture as a form of spatial sculpture. Both objects use expressive outlines and cast aluminium to give a familiar chair-and-table pairing an unusually autonomous presence.

A Familiar Symbol Becomes Structure

The chair’s defining gesture is a heart shape that develops from its frame rather than sitting on the surface as decoration. Its asymmetric backrest shifts between line and mass, turning an instantly recognizable symbol into load-bearing geometry and a memorable visual silhouette. This structural approach keeps the theme of love legible without reducing the object to a graphic novelty.

Long, continuous lines extend, divide, and reconnect across the chair, creating an object that appears almost drawn in space. The composition feels fluid, but its irregular rhythm gives the piece enough tension to avoid looking overly polished or sentimental. In this balance, emotional symbolism meets physical function, allowing the chair to work as seating while retaining the presence of an artwork.

Cast Aluminium Records the Making Process

Both pieces are cast in aluminium and finished individually by hand. Instead of hiding every trace of production, the process preserves subtle differences in surface and texture. Aluminium also supports the collection’s formal ambitions. The material can express narrow linear elements, heavier junctions, and branching forms within one coherent body. One Design Language at Two Scales

The LOVE Side Table translates the chair’s vocabulary into a smaller object rather than simply copying its profile. Its supporting structure follows the same sense of movement and reconnection, while the tabletop provides a clear functional plane. Shared branching lines and a consistent cast-aluminium finish establish a recognizable relationship between the two pieces without making them identical.

Placed together, the chair and table create a compact landscape of curves, openings, and shadows. The pairing can punctuate a restrained interior, occupy a gallery-like setting, or act as an expressive focal point within a residential room. Because each piece maintains its own silhouette, the collection can be read as a coordinated pair or as two standalone objects with distinct spatial characters.
